A SOUJOURN IS A SACRED TRIP

A sojourn is a sacred trip
That’s usually in my mind
For bring me to the holy ground
God knows what I might find
The truth this life will give to me
Revealed upon my breast
So far it’s just
Feeling like a cold dank test
Reeling through hell
With my eyes forced open
A sword in my side
Have I not spoken
Of the tribulation at best
When might I be woken
From the dream I know now
Insides shattered and broken
With visions of youth
An ethereal past
What is the truth
I’m feeling aghast
Spewing out evil
The vortex remains
Spinning in limbo
And a little disdain
Exhausted from thinking
I sing a little tune
Something I just made up
The demon I might ruin…….
